Matthew S. Garcia

Partner – Chief Compliance Officer

Matt brings more than 16 years of financial services experience to his role overseeing compliance at the firm, and is a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Prior to joining Champlain in 2011, he was an Associate in Goldman Sachs’ Global Compliance division and previously was an Analyst in that firm’s legal department. He also held internship positions with the offices of U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Matt graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
